It was another long day in a crowded courtroom and he had felt like there would be no end. It was a tough case but he was able after almost a month of being there nearly every day, won the case. Now it was time to unwind and to let himself relax. He didn't need to worry about being in court early in the morning, or anything having a few days off. He was walked to a nice little bar and went inside for a drink.

He ordered something to drink as well as a bit to eat seeing as they also served food. He relaxed and sipped his drink before looking around. He took note of people around though this time he saw a somewhat familiar face. They had run into each other a few times and he had always thought she was attractive. He debated walking over to her but he observed for now.

Tess was oblivious to the attention, but that was normal as she was oblivious to a lot. She had only been a practicing ASA for less than a year, so her head was mostly in books and in trying to impress her boss.

She had just finished a late arraignment and wanted to just literally pull her hair down, so he'd see her when she wasn't all pinned up and proper. She ordered a sandwich and a drink and just ran a hand through her hair. With her brother now in New York and always so worried about work, Tess was ready to just unwind.

"What I wouldn't give for a hot tub. Or a warm bath," she admitted not realizing he could hear her.
